And don’t worry, we’ll deal with all the finer details for you. We know that paperwork can be daunting, so we’ll arrange your Energy Performance Certificate and can help you apply for a Boiler Upgrade Scheme where applicable.

Simply put, it’s a heating system that utilises renewable energy; energy that comes from naturally replenished sources. Renewable energy that’s used for heating comes from the sun and can take several forms.

Ground source heat pumps – energy is gathered from the sun’s rays falling on the ground.

Solar thermal panels – energy is collected via panels on the roof.

Air source heat pump – energy is extracted from the air which has been warmed by the sun.

Biomass boilers (using wood chips or pellets) – energy from the sun is captured over a long period, so burning wood effectively is also a form of renewable heating. However, it’s really important to consider the source of your wood. If the trees you use aren’t replaced, then it’s not a truly renewable source.
